Creating Backorders and Other Product Disruption Events - Providers

Creating Product Disruption Events

Administrators and Sourcing Coordinators will see the Product Disruption tab on their platform view. Click on the Product Disruption tab to see a list of Product Disruption events for your organization. Suppliers will be able to use this feature to communicate disruptions to your organization. You may also add Product Disruption events internally as well. To add a Product Disruption:
  1. Click on Add to create a new event
  2. Enter required information in the fields listed - field list details are provided below
  3. Attach any relevant documents
  4. List links to any helpful online content under Additional Resources
  5. Enter a brief Description of the event
  6. Enter guidance you wish to provide in the Alternatives & Conservation Measures area
Click Save and Close at the bottom of the screen

Click SAVE and CLOSE at the bottom of the screen

Required Fields Descriptions

Supplier Name: name of the manufacturer

Product Disruption Name - this will be the name listed for the event.

Product Disruption ID - this will be listed as the ID for the event.

Type - drop down list of available Product Disruption events, e.g. Market Event, Shortage

Disruption Date - date the disruption begins

Next Expected Update - let your providers know when they should expect an update from you

Description - provide a description of the event as well as the ways your organization is planning to address potential impact

Alternatives and Conservation Measures - provide a list of any alternative products or recommended measures for your team to engage in preparation
